Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collect, track, and maintain patient history; observes and appropriately records/reports changes in a client's condition including any unusual or drastic changes in patient behaviours/ symptoms; seek help from superiors when needed.
  • Take vitals, including blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, etc.
  • Prepares and administers medication to Program clients, maintaining essential medication.
  • Follow State and Federal mandated standards, procedures, and regulations including inventory records and logs.
  • Complete medical and withdrawal assessments.
  • Provides physical addictions-related consultations to clients on an as-needed basis.
  • Take instructions from and report updates to registered nurse.
  • Initiates and maintains inter program arrangements consistent with the Program Protocol

pertaining to the continuity of client care and treatment.

  • Coordinates medical treatment by providing medical information, on behalf of the clients, to other services, i.e., hospitals, inpatient facilities, etc.
  • Participates in professional development activities to maintain state-of-the-art knowledge and skills relevant to nursing practice in a drug rehabilitation program.
  • Communicate patient/ client needs to the medical director and or nurse manager as appropriate.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • ls the After-Hours Emergency Contact when delegated by a supervisor and/or superior. Include 24/7 monitoring of After-Hours Emergency Telephone.

Minimum Requirements

  • Associates of Arts (AA) degree required for LPN. BS preferred.
  • Combination of comparable skills, experience, and education.
  • Strong interpersonal and engagement skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills required; experience with EMR system a plus.
  • Must pass a State of Maryland background check and pre-employment drug screen.



Requirements

  • Valid Maryland LPN required, BLS certified, required.
