RESPONSIBILITIES: The Electrical Designer works closely with the Electrical Project Engineer to prepare clear, complete, and accurate working plans and detail drawings from rough or detailed sketches to produce a full line of custom conveying equipment to meet customer requirements. Utilize knowledge of various machines, drafting practices, mathematics, building materials, and other physical sciences to complete drawing. Analyze customer drawings, specifications, request for proposals, and 3rd-party vendor and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services. Develop project Bill of Material.
REQUIREMENTS: Associate in Applied Science Degree (AAS) in Electronic and Computer Engineering or Electro-Mechanical Technology. Minimum of an internship using AutoCAD Electrical version 2012 or higher. Ability to learn engineering application software programs such as those used for PLC and HMI development, control panel heating/cooling calculators, etc. Proficient in Microsoft (Office) applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Paint). Basic understanding of electrical circuit theory and industrial control system theory.
