Financial Accountant

The Financial Accountant is responsible for maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures for the company at all times; the position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including General Ledger preparation, AP/AR Ledger Control Account Reconciliations, Financial Reporting and Year End Audit preparation.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Balance Sheet reconciliations/income and expenditure analysis/ P&L analysis
• Intercompany postings and reconciliations
• Preparation of monthly forecasting reports with variance analysis
• Sales analysis with detailed graphs and variance analysis
• Cost Centre controls
• Multi-currency bank reconciliations
• Calculation and posting of periodical GL Journals
• Preparation and submittal of Intrastat/EC Sales manual returns
• Oversee and manage internal retail financial audits
• Year end audit preparation

Additional Duties

• Respond to inquiries from the Finance Director, and other company wide managers regarding Financial Results, Special Reporting requests (Finance related).
• Support and assist the Finance Director with Statutory Reporting Deadlines and special projects.
• Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department, as well as workflow process improvements, while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Provide Training to new and existing staff as needed.

Qualification, Education, Technical Skills and Prior Experience

• Over 3 years’ working experience is required, SSC experience is an advantage
• Possess basic accounting principles knowledge; applicable Accounts Payable/ Receivable & General Ledger systems and procedures knowledge, financial chart of accounts etc,
• Has sufficient documentation, resolution, data analysis and multi-tasking skills
• Possess strong organizational, time management and strong problem solving skills.
• Bachelors or Master's Degree of Accounting is required,
• MS Office and Oracle Cloud are a must, SAP or other ERP experience is an advantage.
• Knowledge of the Fashion or Footwear industry desirable but not essential.
• Languages: English, Hungarian and either Slovak or Serbian is required
