Gender Specialist

Purpose of the role

The candidate for this role will be responsible for integrating gender equality and social inclusion across programme activities by providing technical guidance, promoting safeguarding, and supporting the design and implementation of inclusive interventions.

Key Responsibilities

• Integrate gender equality and social inclusion throughout programme implementation.

• Provide technical guidance on women's economic empowerment initiatives.

• Conduct gender analysis and develop gender-responsive interventions and learning materials.

• Promote safeguarding and inclusive programming across project activities.

• Support stakeholders in implementing gender-sensitive approaches and best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Gender Studies, Sociology, Development Studies, Social Work, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in gender and women's economic empowerment programmes.

• Strong understanding of gender mainstreaming and safeguarding.

• Experience working within development programmes in Tanzania.

• Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
