Summary

The HR Administrator–Recruiting supports all staffing needs across Dakar Academy campuses. This role ensures timely and effective communication with prospective and incoming staff, manages applicant documentation, and maintains a smooth onboarding process from initial inquiry through arrival in Dakar.

Objectives of the Role

  • Recruit qualified candidates for all open positions within Dakar Academy schools.
  • Facilitate a positive and seamless onboarding experience for applicants.
  • Maintain accurate, organized files and records for all candidates and newly hired staff.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly and professionally to all serious inquiries.
  • Maintain an up-to-date database of applicant information.
  • Communicate with applicants via email in a clear and courteous manner.
  • Collect and organize all required documents for each applicant file.
  • Collaborate with the HR Manager to determine the best fit for candidates.
  • Present completed applicant files to administration for review.
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment and maintain communication with hired staff until their arrival at Dakar Academy.
  • Track child safety training and background checks for employees, volunteers, and substitute teachers.
  • Provide ongoing updates to the HR Manager regarding potential candidates and open positions.
  • Update job postings on platforms such as RCE, ACSI, TeachNext, and others.

Skills and Qualifications

  • College education
  • Strong written communication skills and team player.
  • Proficient with Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Trello, and similar tools.
  • Responds promptly and professionally to email correspondence.
  • Collaborative and able to work effectively within a team.
  • Friendly, approachable, and supportive to all applicants.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
