IT SPECIALIST (AS400-IBM I-RPG)

We are currently seeking an experienced IT professional to join the team of a well-established manufacturing company located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

This is an on-site position. Remote work is not available.

The ideal candidate will have strong, recent, hands-on experience developing and working with IBM i (AS/400) and RPG. Candidates must have current professional experience with these systems to be considered.

Tasks

Requirements:
• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience developing on the RPG platform.
• Strong and recent experience working with IBM i / AS400.
• Solid knowledge of RPG development and programming.
• Experience maintaining, supporting, and enhancing existing AS400/RPG applications.
• Ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve system and application issues.
• Experience working with databases and business applications within the IBM i environment.
• Manufacturing industry experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be available to work on-site in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Requirements

Responsibilities:
• Develop, maintain, and enhance RPG applications within the IBM i / AS400 environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application and system issues.
• Support existing business applications and implement system improvements.
• Work with internal teams to understand business requirements and develop technical solutions.
• Maintain and update existing RPG programs and applications.
• Assist with system integrations, testing, documentation, and ongoing technical support.

Compensation & Benefits:
• Starting salary: approximately $72,000 per year.
