Key Responsibilities

As a Journeyman Plumber, you’ll bring projects to life by:
  • Preparing, fabricating, and installing plumbing and piping systems for commercial and residential projects.
  • Supervising and training apprentices and other licensed plumbers, providing constructive feedback on their progress and performance.
  • Designing and laying out work, developing work lists, and installing systems according to plans, specifications, and blueprints.
  • Promoting safety, teamwork, and Howe’s high-quality standards on every job site.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to changing job site needs.
  • Leadership abilities to train and guide team members while working collaboratively with other contractors.
  • A professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Your own hand tools and a valid driver’s license for commuting to job sites.
  • Minimum of 4 years of field experience in plumbing and piping systems required.
  • Possession and maintenance of a current South Dakota state and Sioux Falls city plumbing license required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
