Maintenance Tech

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment to include plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc., as directed, in accordance with established procedures.
• Perform routine safety checks of door lock systems, water temperatures, etc. as directed and in accordance with established procedures.
• Service heating and cooling units/systems, as specified by the manufacturer, and in compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Clean/polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units, etc., in resident homes, clubhouse/common areas, offices etc.
• Perform occasional maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc., by cutting, trimming, policing, sweeping, removing snow and salting, etc., as necessary/directed.
• Clean floors, to include sweeping, dust mopping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing disinfecting, etc.
• Provide occasional backup support for housekeeping.
• Clean and sanitize vacant homes/apartments as assigned.
• Set up and take down tables, chairs, equipment for indoor or outdoor functions as directed.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Prior experience as a maintenance technician.
• Must possess a valid unrestricted state of Michigan driver's license.
