Manufacturing Operator

POSITION SUMMARY

The successful candidate will participate in the manufacturing of pharmaceutical products and operate machinery and equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures.

Minimum Requirement

• Five (5) CSEC subjects including English Language, Mathematics and at least one science subject,

• Three (3) years’ experience in a similar position or environment,
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Natural Science, Pharmacology or a related discipline would be an advantage

Required Skills, Behaviour and Competencies

• Sound knowledge of product handling and current Good Manufacturing Practices
• Knowledge of processing techniques and production processes

• Proficiency in the use of computer software applications including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills

• High level of integrity and confidentiality
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong time management skills
• Good dexterity and vision
• Ability to operate production equipment
• Initiative, Problem solving & decision-making skills
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment.

Special Conditions:

• Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves standing, walking, and lifting raw materials.
• The incumbent will also be involved in carrying, pushing and pulling.
