Laundry Manager

Half Moon is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Laundry Manager to take overall responsibility for our Central Laundry facility. In this critical operational role, you will oversee comprehensive linen processing, valet/staff laundry, dry cleaning operations, and quality control. You will ensure a seamless, high-quality supply of fresh linens across all resort areas - including Villas at Half Moon, Founder’s Cove, and Eclipse - supporting Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Conference/Function, and Activities operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all hotel laundry service operations and dry cleaning systems, ensuring capabilities to support both internal resort needs and external properties/clients.
• Maintain strict control, quality standards, and inventory management of all linens and clothing, coordinating receipts, distribution, storage, repairs, and monthly audits with the Accounting department.
• Hire, train, mentor, and evaluate laundry staff, maintaining high employee morale, proper grooming/hygiene standards, and comprehensive training records.
• Forecast annual budgets, monitor P&L statements, control operational costs and expenses, manage payroll, and handle billing and accounts receivables.
• Coordinate with engineering and chemical providers to ensure preventive maintenance, wash-formula testing, and safe, cost-effective plant operations.
• Act as a direct liaison with Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Maintenance, and cover Housekeeping operations when required.
• Ensure adherence to statutory legislation, health and safety standards, environmental policies, and emergency preparedness protocols.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Proven senior experience in managing a high-volume commercial or luxury resort laundry facility.
• Proficiency in Windows-based office software (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and a full understanding of laundry/dry cleaning software and mechanics.
• Strong organizational, communication, financial, and team-building skills, with a proven ability to lead staff and manage complex operational schedules.
