Recreation and Entertainment Manager

Half Moon is seeking a visionary and dynamic Director of Recreation & Entertainment to lead our vibrant recreational, entertainment, and wellness offerings. In this key leadership role, you will oversee a diverse portfolio - including nightly resort entertainment, racquet and lawn sports, the Anancy Children’s Village, holiday programming, daily guest activities, and key partnerships with our equestrian and water sports concessionaires.

Key Responsibilities

• Hire, train, mentor, and lead departmental supervisors and staff to deliver exceptional service standards.
• Design cutting-edge, engaging activities and events for both children and adults across tennis, fitness, pools, land sports, and evening entertainment.
• Develop and manage annual departmental budgets, monitor P&L reports, control expenses, and maximize revenues.
• Oversee resort pools, recreation facilities, and equipment inventory while directing annual capital improvement plans (FF&E).
• Ensure the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction in collaboration with our Security and Health & Safety teams.
• Partner closely with Marketing, the Half Moon Foundation, and local service providers to curate memorable guest experiences and robust community initiatives.
  
  

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation & Entertainment Management (preferred).
• Minimum of 3 to 4 years of senior leadership experience in a fast-paced activity setting, preferably within luxury hospitality.
• Advanced computer literacy, strong financial acumen, and exceptional communication and organizational abilities.
• Active involvement in industry associations (e.g., JHTA, Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce) and relevant professional accreditations are highly desirable.
