Production Coordinator
The Production Coordinator assists with overseeing the day-to-day operations of production and packaging lines, ensuring that products are manufactured and packaged efficiently, on time, and in compliance with established quality standards. This role coordinates and schedules production and packaging runs, monitors processes, and proactively resolves issues throughout the manufacturing and packaging cycles. The Production Coordinator ensures strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations, analyzes production and packaging output, prepares accurate run and scrap reports, coordinates and maintains training records and evaluates material losses to support efficiency optimization, cost control, and continuous improvement.
Minimum Requirements and Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in Production Management, Operations Management, Pharmacology, Chemistry, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Certificate or Diploma in Supervisory Management would be an advantage.
- At least two (2) years’ experience in a similar position.
- Proficiency in the use of computer software applications including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, analytical and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to multitask and produce efficient and accurate results.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a diverse team.
Some Key Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Assist with the creation and management of production schedules based on demand forecasts, raw material availability, and equipment capacity to meet deadlines.
- Assist with monitoring production processes.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Warehouse, and Maintenance, to address operational challenges.
- Track inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Prepare and maintains production reports, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory requirements.
- Support the continuous improvement of production processes through data analysis and feedback.
- Assist with managing the ERP system, including investigating deviations.
- Coordinate training needs for department.
- Assist with the execution of departmental audits.
