About Maqaam

Maqaam is JazzWorld's pathway to permanent employment for persons with disabilities (PWDs) — a 12-month programme of onboarding, skill matching, mentorship, and performance reviews, leading to conversion opportunities for high performers.

Overview

An early-career role responsible for supporting day-to-day operational and functional activities within the assigned team. Working under the guidance of a line manager or designated team member, while progressing through the Maqaam development journey.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver with ownership

· Own assigned operational and administrative tasks end-to-end, meeting agreed quality standards and timelines.

· Keep records, trackers, and reports accurate and audit-ready, giving the team a reliable single source of truth.

· Gather, structure, and run basic analysis on information to sharpen team decisions and recommendations.

Solve and support

· Handle and respond to routine queries and requests independently; know when and how to escalate complex or high-risk matters to the line manager.

· Partner with stakeholders across the team and function to chase inputs, unblock actions, and keep deliverables on track.

· Spot patterns in recurring issues and put forward practical fixes, not just flag problems.

Grow and represent Maqaam

· Show up fully in onboarding, mentorship sessions, and quarterly reviews, using the Maqaam journey to build skills toward a permanent role.

· Compliance and suppport the DEI interventions and model an inclusive way of working that others can learn from.

· Operate within company policy, confidentiality, and health & safety standards as a baseline for everything above.

Requirements

● Bachelor’s degree (minimum) from a recognised institution.

● 1–2 years of relevant professional experience after graduation.

● Basic understanding of workplace processes and the ability to follow defined procedures.

● Strong communication skills, through spoken, written, or alternative means (e.g., sign language, assistive technology etc.)

● Working knowledge of standard productivity tools, including Microsoft Office applications.

● Strong organisation, attention to detail, and a collaborative, adaptable mindset.

● Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and adapt to changing priorities.
