Build a Modern Data Platform

At Ibis Solutions, we are building a modern Data Platform as a product – designed to ingest, process, and analyse large volumes of data using distributed systems.

The platform is continuously evolving and deployed across multiple client environments, integrating diverse and often complex data sources.

You will work on the core of the platform – distributed storage, scalable processing pipelines, streaming systems, and modern lakehouse architectures.

If you enjoy designing systems that reliably process large volumes of data and solving performance and scalability challenges, this is the kind of engineering problem you will work on here.

Problems you will solve

• Build scalable batch and streaming pipelines
  
• Work on the evolution of our modern lakehouse data platform
  
• Optimize SQL workloads and distributed data processing
  
• Contribute to platform deployment, automation, and reliability
  

What You Bring

• Strong SQL skills and experience
  
• Experience with Python or Scala
  
• Understanding of data modelling concepts and analytical data structures
  
• Interest in distributed systems and large-scale data processing
  
• Experience building or maintaining data pipelines
  
• Strong problem-solving mindset and engineering curiosity
  

Nice to Have

Experience with some of the following technologies:

• Apache Spark
  
• Apache Kafka
  
• Apache Airflow
  
• Kubernetes
  
• Experience with data lake or lakehouse architectures
