Mine Superintendent

Role Summary
Lead and oversee mine production operations to achieve safe, efficient, and cost-effective ore extraction and production targets. Provide strategic and operational leadership across mine planning, production, grade control, manpower, equipment, budgeting, and cost management.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute mine production strategies, plans, and annual production targets.

• Oversee daily mining operations and monitor production performance, costs, quality, and efficiency.

• Coordinate with Mine Technical Services, Engineering, Maintenance, Geology, and other departments to optimize mine development and production.

• Review geological, survey, engineering, and operational data to support mine planning and decision-making.

• Ensure compliance with mining legislation, company policies, health, safety, and environmental standards.

• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency.

• Ensure adequate manpower, equipment, and resources are available to achieve production targets.

• Lead, develop, and manage the mine operations team, including performance management, training, and workforce development.

• Contribute to mine strategy, budgeting, and mid- to long-term operational planning as a member of the senior management team.

• Daily report to Zijin HQ.

Requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.

• Relevant professional certification/designation.

• Minimum 10 years of mining experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory/management role.

• Strong knowledge of mining methods, mine production, planning, and operational practices.

• Good knowledge of applicable mining legislation, safety, and environmental regulations.

• Strong leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to interpret engineering, geological, and survey information and apply sound technical judgment.

• Excellent oral and writing skills in both English and Chinese.
