TheNationalWork Group Leader(WGL)is a senior strategic leadership roleandsits withinSenversa’ssenior management team, working closely withotherdiscipline WGLs,theCOOandCEO.With a remit to grow engineering services, the WGLhas the opportunity tobuildand diversifySenversa’sengineeringoffering-in the services we offer, the sectors we work across andthe geographiesin whichwe work.
The WGLwill lead the development and successful implementation of the workgroup and company strategies while building our brand andmarkets, andattracting and nurturing talent. The role is one that exemplifies culture leadership, effective people leadership,a strategic mindset,strong clientrelationshipand business development skills.
The Workgroup Leader, with active support from the COOand otherkey leadersand senior practitionerswithin the business, willfosterdistributed leadershipacrosstheengineering operationstopromoteprofessionaldevelopment,collaborationandproject deliveryexcellencewithinthe team.Thiscriticalrolewill be supported byintegrated,multi-disciplinary teams of civil, environmental, geospatial,digital,design and sustainabilityprofessionals.
Although your industry connectionsand technical prowess will be integral to the success of the role, the team has an enviable clientlist and significant existingvolume of work.Our current teamincludes industry leaders in geosynthetics;landfilland repositorydesign, construction,supervisionand management;and broaderwaste managementandassociatedrisksolutions.

You will role model our vision and values as our teams and business evolves.
On aday to daybasis, you willdemonstrateyour technicalcompetence and commercial acumen by ensuring the delivery ofquality projects as a Project Director, or through oversight of your team deliverables.
This role will see your effective contribution to:

Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Supporting the success of the wider Senversa teams, includingcollaborating across disciplines toidentifymarket opportunitiesandmultidisciplinary approaches to client needs.
Engineering Team Leadership: Ensuring engineering recruitment, resourcing,financialperformancemanagementand staff development actions are undertaken ina timelyand proactive manner. This includes supportive coaching and mentoring of teammembers andleaders.
Profile Raising Initiatives: Managing profile-raising initiatives, includingrepresentingthe company at both internal and external networking events andsupportingprofessional development opportunities.
Project Direction:to ensure the delivery of a range of interesting and complex projects.
Overall, this role is vital in driving growth, ensuring high-quality services, andmaintaininga positive and innovative work environment within the Engineering team at Senversa.
Highly desirable professional skills you will bring to the team:
- Bachelor of Engineering in Civil, Geotechnicalor Environmental Engineering, or Engineering Geology.
- RegisteredPracticing Engineer, Chartered Engineer or similar.
- Experience in similar technicaland leadershiproles.
- Dedication to Health and Safety.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Solutions focus and partnership orientation.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to understand and deliver financial performance.
- Lateral thinking, problem solving and strong collaboration and team working abilities.
