Network Delivery & Implementation Engineer

Role Overview

At TDM Group, we are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Network Delivery & Implementation Engineer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate who is passionate about networking, cybersecurity, and network automation to develop their career while working on a large-scale enterprise network supporting over 200 customer sites across Europe.

Working alongside experienced engineers, you will assist with the deployment, maintenance, and automation of network infrastructure, gaining hands-on experience with Cisco and Fortinet technologies while contributing to network implementation, support, and continuous improvement initiatives.

This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy problem-solving, have a strong technical foundation, and are eager to apply their programming skills in Python and Ansible to modern network operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Network Deployment & Coordination

• Support the planning and coordination of network deployments across multiple customer sites.
• Review site documentation, IP addressing schemes, network diagrams, and connectivity requirements.
• Assist in preparing deployment documentation, equipment lists, and project records.
• Coordinate with internal teams, field engineers, ISPs, and customer stakeholders to ensure successful deployments.
• Provide remote technical support to engineers during installation activities.
• Verify network connectivity, remote access, and successful implementation following deployments.

Network Operations & Support

• Assist in monitoring and maintaining customer network infrastructure.
• Help troubleshoot network connectivity, routing, switching, and firewall issues under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Support firewall configuration, firmware upgrades, and security policy implementation using Fortinet and Cisco technologies.
• Maintain accurate network documentation, asset records, and topology diagrams.

Network Automation & Development

• Develop and enhance automation scripts usingAnsibleto simplify network deployment and operational tasks.
• Identify repetitive operational tasks and contribute ideas for automation and process improvement.
• Learn Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles and help implement automation across customer environments.
• Work closely with senior engineers and cybersecurity teams to ensure automation aligns with operational and security standards.

Documentation & Continuous Improvement

• Update deployment records, technical documentation, and knowledge base articles.
• Register deployed hardware and ensure firmware compliance.
• Contribute to improving deployment processes, operational standards, and automation tools.
• Participate in technical training, certification programmes, and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Skills & Experience

We welcome applications from recent graduates or candidates with up to two years of experience.

Essential

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
• Cisco certification (CCNA or higher).
• Fortinet certification (NSE4 or higher).
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals including:
  • TCP/IP
  • VLANs
  • Routing & Switching
  • NAT
  • Firewalls
  • VPN technologies
• Programming knowledge in Pythonis a plus.
