Pain Medicine Physician UAE

Our leading healthcare facility is looking for an experienced Pain Medicine Physician to provide comprehensive assessment and management of patients with acute and chronic pain conditions. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in multidisciplinary pain management and interventional pain procedures. Interventional pain medicine includes diagnostic and therapeutic approaches using minimally invasive techniques alongside other treatment modalities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessment and diagnosis of acute and chronic pain conditions.
• Develop individualized, multidisciplinary pain management plans.
• Manage chronic back pain, neck pain, neuropathic pain, musculoskeletal pain, cancer-related pain, and post-surgical pain.
• Perform interventional procedures such as nerve blocks, epidural injections, facet joint injections, trigger-point injections, and radiofrequency procedures, where appropriately trained.
• Utilize ultrasound and fluoroscopic guidance for appropriate pain interventions.
• Assess and manage patients with complex and persistent pain conditions.
• Review and interpret MRI, CT, X-rays, EMG/NCS, and other relevant investigations.
• Provide appropriate pharmacological and non-pharmacological pain management.
• Coordinate care with anesthesiologists, neurologists, orthopedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, physiatrists, physiotherapists, and other specialists.
• Monitor treatment response and modify pain management plans as required.
• Counsel patients regarding treatment options, expected outcomes, risks, and self-management strategies.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions, quality improvement initiatives, teaching, and continuing medical education.

Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Pain Medicine, Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Neurology, or an appropriate related specialty.
• Relevant advanced training or fellowship in Pain Medicine / Interventional Pain Management preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant post-specialization clinical experience preferred.
• Strong experience in comprehensive pain assessment and management.
• Excellent clinical judgment, procedural skills, and patient-management abilities.
• Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
