Residential Drain Technician

Mr. Plumber is looking for a dependable, customer-focused Plumber to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll help homeowners diagnose and resolve residential plumbing issues while providing professional, high-quality service.

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose, repair, and install residential plumbing systems and components.

• Troubleshoot plumbing issues involving water lines, drains, toilets, faucets, water heaters, and other residential plumbing systems.

• Perform plumbing repairs and installations according to company standards and applicable codes.

• Identify the root cause of plumbing problems and clearly communicate findings to homeowners.

• Explain recommended repairs and solutions in a way homeowners can easily understand.

• Provide customers with options for resolving identified plumbing issues and obtain approval before completing additional work.

• Perform drain cleaning and other plumbing services when needed.

• Use plumbing tools, diagnostic equipment, sewer cameras, and other equipment as required.

• Remove and replace plumbing fixtures and components as necessary to complete repairs.

• Maintain accurate service documentation using company technology.

• Keep your company vehicle, tools, and equipment clean, organized, stocked, and properly maintained.

• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.

• Respect customers’ homes and property by maintaining a clean and professional work environment.

• Communicate effectively with dispatch, management, and other members of the team.

• Provide an exceptional customer experience from arrival through completion of the service.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous residential plumbing experience preferred.

• Strong knowledge of residential plumbing systems and repair practices.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to diagnose plumbing issues and determine appropriate solutions.

• Comfortable working in crawl spaces, tight areas, and varying indoor and outdoor conditions.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to explain technical issues in a way homeowners can easily understand.

• Self-motivated and able to work independently.

• Professional appearance and positive attitude.

• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

• Ability to pass required background and pre-employment screening.

Responsibilities

What Will I Do?

• Camera and diagnose sewer and mainline plumbing problems and provide cost estimates to the customer
• Provide solutions to sewer, drain and mainline problems
• Educate and assist customers on the importance of sewer inspection, repair and replacementUnclog and clean sewers and drains for the customer using proper equipment and tools
• Protect all company drain equipment and jetting equipment against abuse, misuse and negligence
• Work with field technicians, warehouse, dispatch and management to ensure overall success
• Exhibit a professional and knowledgeable attitude

Qualifications

Do I Have What It Takes?

• 1-2 years experience in drain diagnoses and problem solving.
• Knowledge of residential and commercial plumbing
• Mechanical aptitude
• Professional appearance and grooming
