Prototyping Design Engineer

As Prototyping Design Engineer you will be responsible for rapidly creation, modification, and validation mechanical solutions for UAV platforms and related systems, helping transform engineering concepts into functional prototypes before they are transferred to the R&D team for final development and industrialization..

This is a on-site job. Candidates must be located in Kyiv.

What is your Day to Day Mission:

• Design and modify mechanical solutions for UAV and product prototypes.

• Suggesting prototype designs and validate them with 3D printing and CNC machining

• Assemble, install, and evaluate the components you design.

• Participating in prototype testing and documenting results for data-driven decisions

• Assisting in product documentation creation

• Supporting the transition from prototype to mass production

• Work closely with R&D and manufacturing teams to transfer validated concepts into formal development.

Requirements

What you bring to the team:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.

• 2+ years of experience as a Design Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, or similar role.

• Experience with CAD software such as:

  • SolidWorks;

  • Autodesk Inventor/Fusion 360;

  • CATIA V5.

• Strong understanding of Design for Manufacturing principles, particularly:

  • 3D printing;

  • CNC machining.

• Experience designing mechanical assemblies, enclosures, mounting systems, or structural components.

• Ability to quickly transform concepts into working prototypes.

• Comfortable working both at a workstation and in a workshop environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience in UAV, robotics, aerospace, or defense industries.

• Understanding of UAV systems and integration challenges.

• Basic electronics knowledge.

• Hands-on experience with prototyping equipment and tools.

• Experience operating 3D printers or machining equipment.
