The Relationship Manager, Private Wealth is the central point of contact for private wealth clients, responsible for managing and resolving client queries, coordinating across internal departments to execute requests, and ensuring accounts are actively and appropriately invested. The role blends client service excellence, operational coordination, and investment support—aimed at maintaining a seamless client experience across BBD, BSD and USD accounts.


Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary, day-to-day contact for private wealth clients; respond to queries via phone, email, and secure messaging within agreed SLAs.
  • Coordinate with Investment Management on trade instructions, allocation changes, rebalancing, cash sweeps, and corporate actions. Track request progress, escalate bottlenecks, and close the loop with clients.
  • Conduct monthly account exception reviews to identify and remediate concerns – i.e. uninvested cash, fee anomalies, overdrawn balances etc.
  • Handle credit card inquiries (limits, statements, disputes, replacement, travel notifications, rewards etc).
  • Identify process improvements to reduce turnaround time, errors, and manual touchpoints.
  • Draft, review, and distribute client communications including investment updates, account notices, newsletters, and confirmations, ensuring clarity and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Lead the onboarding process and account maintenance for Private Wealth clients, coordinating across Compliance and Operations to ensure all KYC documentation is accurate, complete, and approved within required timelines. Maintain onboarding checklists, track progress, and provide clients with clear guidance on required documents and next steps.
  • Collaborate with the investment management team ensuring Private Wealth client portfolios alignment with the policy statemen
  • Ensure that portfolio reviews with each Private Wealth client at least once annually.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ work experience in an associated role
  • Knowledge of banking and finance industry preferred
  • Series 7 Certification an asset
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong adherence to professional standards and confidentiality
  • Continued professional education to retain accounting credentials required
