This role is responsible for the safe installation, operation, and removal of temporary event infrastructure, including rigging, truss, staging support, and structural systems for live events, corporate productions, and broadcasts.


Key Responsibilities

  • Install and strike truss, rigging, and temporary event structures
  • Build and secure tents, roof systems, stages, and support infrastructure
  • Perform ground and overhead rigging under approved methods
  • Install motors, spansets, shackles, steel, and hardware safely
  • Ensure correct ballast, anchoring, and load distribution
  • Work closely with lighting, video, audio, and staging teams
  • Conduct safety checks and ensure builds meet industry, company and venue standards
  • Load, unload, maintain, and care for rigging and infrastructure equipment
  • Support warehouse prep, rehearsals, and live show days


Requirements

  • Proven experience in event rigging and temporary structures
  • Strong understanding of truss systems, rigging hardware, and load safety
  • Comfortable working at heights and in physically demanding environments
  • Safety-focused mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and extended hours as required


  • Formal rigging or working-at-heights certification
  • Experience with chain motors and roof systems
  • Knowledge of staging, decking, and tent structures
  • Experience working on large-scale outdoor events or broadcasts (minimum 3 years)
