Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Control Operations in Alamo, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a residential community, you will help create a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access, greeting residents and visitors, and responding to security-related concerns. You will use strong communication and customer service skills while supporting a caring culture built on teamwork, integrity, reliability, agility, and innovation at Allied Universal.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control entry and exit at residential access points, verify visitor and vendor authorization, and document arrivals, departures, and access-related activity.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate reports and logs for access activity, incidents, patrol observations, and communications with site personnel and emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
