Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Identity Verification in Deer Park, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will help maintain a secure environment by verifying credentials, managing badge access, monitoring entry points, and communicating professionally with employees, visitors, and contractors. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and help deter incidents while delivering exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Verify identification, authorization, credentials, and visitor or contractor documentation before granting access to designated areas of the chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, maintain accurate visitor and access records, issue and recover access credentials, and report access discrepancies according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have access control and badge experience, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
