Senior AV/IT Solution Architect (m/f/x) | AV, Unified Communications & Microsoft Teams Rooms

What will I do?

I design and technically validate complete audiovisual, Unified Communications and network solutions for DEKOM customers. As the link between Sales, Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, Service and our customers, I turn complex requirements into scalable, secure and commercially viable technical designs.

• I design AV, UC and collaboration solutions for meeting rooms, boardrooms, training rooms, auditoriums and hybrid workplaces.
• I translate customer requirements into functional, technical, network and low-level designs.
• I prepare system architectures, rack layouts, cabling schematics, power plans, IP plans and as-built documentation.
• I specify the required hardware, software, licences, cabling, network components, control systems and management solutions.
• I assess designs for feasibility, scalability, security, manageability, lifecycle and user experience.
• I support customer workshops, site surveys, RFPs, RFQs, tenders and technical presentations.
• I prepare and review BOMs, BOQs, cost calculations and technical quotation input.
• I conduct design reviews and support project teams with technical questions and escalations.
• I coach junior designers and engineers and help develop standards, templates, checklists and reference architectures.

What do I have to bring? My skills and experience:

Must-have requirements

• Bachelor-level working and thinking ability in ICT, Electrical Engineering, Audiovisual Technology, Telecommunications or a comparable field.
• At least five years of relevant experience as a Technical Designer, AV Consultant, Solution Architect, UC Engineer or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of professional AV, videoconferencing, Unified Communications and network design.
• Experience preparing technical designs, calculations, BOMs, BOQs and customer documentation.
• Professional working proficiency in Dutch and English, both at CEFR B2 level or higher.
• Willingness to work at DEKOM locations and customer sites and to travel when required.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, Cisco Webex and enterprise collaboration environments.
• Knowledge of Q-SYS, Biamp, Extron, Crestron, Barco, Shure or comparable technologies.
• Relevant certifications such as AVIXA CTS-D or CTS, Microsoft, Cisco or manufacturer-specific qualifications.
• Experience coaching colleagues or supporting international standardisation projects.
• Knowledge of CAD, Visio or comparable schematic and design tools.

I understand TCP/IP, VLANs, QoS, firewall concepts, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi and relevant Microsoft 365 concepts. I combine technical depth with commercial awareness and communicate complex design decisions clearly to customers and internal stakeholders.
