Senior IT Project Manager - Financial Crime & Transaction Monitoring

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to own the governance, oversight, and ongoing management of Transaction Monitoring models and related regulatory commitments for a client in the banking sector.

This large-scale initiative covers new data integrations, scenario development, testing, and activation across four countries, delivering the client's Finance receivables stream via a dedicated Contextual Monitoring solution—a top priority for 2026.

You will own the model management roadmap, translating financial crime strategy, risk priorities, regulatory requirements, and business needs into a clear, prioritized validation, remediation, and governance plan. The role requires close collaboration with Capability Leads, Model Owners, Subject Matter Experts, Model Risk Management, Financial Crime, Technology, and Operations stakeholders across the full model lifecycle — from design through validation, approval, monitoring, change management, and retirement.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Project/Programme Management within the banking/financial sector
• Experience managing cross-functional initiatives involving Risk, Compliance, Operations, and Technology teams
• Strong governance, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience delivering projects in a regulated environment, working with regulatory or audit requirements
• Ability to manage dependencies, risks, issues, and remediation plans across multiple workstreams
• Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills
• Ability to translate complex business and regulatory requirements into clear delivery plans
• Track record of projects within Financial Crime, AML, or Transaction Monitoring (highly recommended)
• Fluent English, written and spoken
