Social Media Manager

This position is necessary to oversee the digital campaigns delivered on our social media platform promoting available services and normalising returnee integration across target governorates.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day digital content strategy and campaign delivery for a popular social media platform, promoting available project services and success stories across target governorates.
• Manage the production, scheduling, and publication of stabilisation and peacebuilding content, in coordination with IN2's editorial and content production team.
• Monitor platform reach, engagement, and audience sentiment using analytics tools, refining content strategy to meet monthly engagement targets.
• Manage paid dissemination and boosted post campaigns across Facebook, X, and Telegram to maximise reach among target populations.
• Coordinate with the radio team and Syria Field Officers to ensure alignment between radio and social media campaigns and field activity timelines.
• Support the onboarding, mentoring, and content review of youth "City Recovery Ambassadors" contributing to the social media outputs.
• Ensure all published content complies with client visibility, branding, and safeguarding requirements.
• Monitor platform integrity and escalate any risks of content suppression, account restriction, or safety concerns affecting contributors.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Media, Marketing, or a related field.
• Up to 7 years' experience in social media management, ideally within a Syrian or Levant regional context.
• Experience working in NGOs, international development and stabilisation sectors.
• Proven experience managing multi-platform digital campaigns (Facebook, X, Telegram), including paid dissemination.
• Experience with social listening/analytics tools.
• Strong understanding of the Syrian information environment, including sensitivities in content.
• Fluent in Arabic; strong written English desirable.
• Excellent content judgement, with a strong sensitivity to safeguarding and do-no-harm principles.
• Based in Syria.
