ABOUT US

Hakuba Hospitality Group (HHG) is comprised of a young and dynamic international team offering the largest portfolio of boutique hotels, premium chalets and apartments and international food & beverage outlets in prime locations throughout the Hakuba Valley. This season we will be housing our staff in 10 different lodges located in the Happo Village, Wadano Woods, and Kamishiro areas.


THE ROLE OVERVIEW

We are in search of mature, organized individuals to join the HHG team as Staff Accommodation Managers. You will act as the primary point of contact for all staff accommodation-related matters, and will be the liaison between staff and management. Key areas of responsibility are the smooth operation and management of staff accommodations ensuring the comfort, cleanliness, safety and fostering a respectful and comfortable living environment for everyone living in our dormitories. Staff Accommodation Managers are responsible for ensuring that each accommodation is stocked with basic necessities, and creating cleaning rotas for each house.


STAFF ACCOMMODATION MANAGER DUTIES

  1. Induction and Onboarding: Manage accommodation inductions during the onboarding process. This includes guiding staff through main areas of the accommodations, garbage management and collection, house rules, and showing them to their assigned rooms.
  2. Comprehensive Oversight: Supervise and manage all staff accommodations within the hotel group, ensuring their efficient operation and maintenance.
  3. Primary Point of Contact: Act as the initial contact person for all staff accommodation-related matters, serving as a responsive and resourceful liaison between staff and management, including HR and Property Managers.
  4. Staff Shuttles: Assist with taking staff to local clinics and hospitals in the event of an injury.
  5. Issue Resolution: Proactively address and rectify any concerns or problems pertaining to staff accommodations, using problem-solving skills, and escalate issues when necessary to ensure prompt resolution.
  6. Maintenance and Cleaning: Undertake basic cleaning and upkeep of accommodations, maintaining a comfortable and hygienic living environment for staff members. Create cleaning rotas and ensure staff are contributing to maintaining a clean living environment.
  7. Stocking: Ensure that staff houses are well stocked with basic necessities such as toilet paper, cleaning supplies, and linen.


WHAT YOU NEED

  • Legal right to live and work in Japan (typically via a Working Holiday Visa)
  • Driving License and International Driving Permit (with classes B and D stamped)
  • Experience driving in snowy and icy conditions
  • Comfortability driving large and premium vans and cars
  • Aged over 26 per insurance liability requirement
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, evenings, mornings, weekends, and holidays, as per the requirements of the establishment
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced and dynamic work environment and to stand for long period, lift heavy objects (such as luggage), and handle the physical demands of the job
  • Strong work ethic and a team first mentality
  • English fluency; Japanese a bonus
  • Ability to commit from November 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027
