Opportunity

Responsible for statutory accounting, reporting and analyzing data for local GAAP purposes. This person is coordinating the Financial Statement preparation and the statutory audit for the European countries. Contributing to complex projects, handling internal, external and tax audit requests, and providing professional support to the Accounting department in several fields.

Responsibilities

What you will do

• Coordinate the audit of statutory financial statement in the assigned portfolio
• Prepare or support the completion of statutory financial statements
• Assist in the interim and final US GAAP group audits
• Build professional working relationship with service providers and external auditors
• Assist in the complex restructuring projects
• Support tax audits on ad hoc basis
• Produce analytical review of statutory accounts to provide meaningful explanation of the entity’s activities and performance during the year
• Responsible for maintaining local GAAP adjustments in SAP
• Propose process improvement initiatives that enhance the efficiency and accuracy of statutory reporting

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

What You Will Bring

• University/College in Finance, Accounting or Economics
• Fluent in English
• 4+ years working experience in a multinational corporate environment, with exposure to some of the following areas: Financial and Management Accounting, Controlling & Reporting processes
• External and/or internal audit experience
• Expertise in Accounting standards (US GAAP, IFRS)
• Local (e.g. UK, German or Swiss) GAAP knowledge is an asset
• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines
• Process management and organization skills
• SAP experience
