Lead and empower employees in achieving operating targets and improve employee work performance and efficiency through mentorship, feedback and achieving safe operating targets

Manage and optimize truck, shovel, drilling, and blasting functions to improve production and minimize operating costs

Administer the collective agreement, safety, and mine and environmental regulations (health and safety reclamation code) in a manner consistent with policies and procedures

Read and understand maps along with mine plans, mine maintenance activities and collaborate closely with other shift supervisors, engineers, and maintenance personnel in coordinating mining activities

Participate in industrial relations and safety investigations
Requirements:

Possess a valid Open Pit Shift Boss certificate

Minimum three years of demonstrated ability leading operational activities in an open pit mining environment

Understanding of the Health, Safety and Reclamation Code for Mines in BC
-
Exposure to Wenco Dispatch system would be an asset
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent
