Tailor – Surmesur
Who we are
At Surmesur, we’re redefining the custom clothing experience. Our boutiques are built around one goal: delivering a true “wow” moment, through exceptional fit, thoughtful design, and a highly personalized client journey. We don’t just make suits. We build wardrobes, confidence, and presence.
We’re growing, and we’re looking for a Tailor who takes pride in their craft and wants to be part of a brand that’s pushing the industry forward.
Our culture (what we actually care about)
- Be better – We’re always refining, improving, and raising the bar
- Be creative – We value ideas, innovation, and personal style
- Take action – We move fast and deliver for our clients
- Have fun – We take the work seriously, not ourselves
What you’ll do
This is a hands-on, high-impact role. You’ll own the quality and precision of our garments and play a key role in the client experience.
- Execute high-level alterations (jackets, trousers, vests, shirts — full scope)
- Ensure every garment meets Surmesur’s fit standards
- Manage alteration timelines and client expectations with precision
- Support fittings alongside the styling team when needed
- Identify fit issues quickly and propose clean, effective solutions
- Maintain an organized, professional tailoring space
- Collaborate with the Branch Manager on recurring fit challenges and improvements
Who you are
- Passionate about tailoring, craftsmanship, and fashion
- Detail-obsessed — you notice what others miss
- Fast, efficient, and accountable under pressure
- Comfortable working independently and with a team
- Solutions-driven — you don’t just flag problems, you fix them
- Adaptable and open to new tools, processes, and ways of working
What you bring
- 5+ years of menswear tailoring experience (preferred)
- Strong understanding of garment construction and fit
- Advanced alteration experience across jackets, trousers, vests, and shirts
- Experience with industrial machines (hemming, serger, etc.)
- Ability to diagnose fit issues and execute precise corrections
- Strong time management and organizational skills
What we offer
- Competitive salary (based on experience)
- Commission program
- Clothing allowance + 60% employee discount
- Ongoing training and development
- A fast-growing brand with real opportunity to grow your role
If you care about craftsmanship, take pride in your work, and want to be part of a team that’s building something meaningful, we’d love to meet you.
