Position/ Assignment Purpose:
As the Testing Manager, you will lead two critical testing domains: product software validation and manufacturing testing. You will ensure that our product meet the highest software quality, reliability, and manufacturing efficiency standards throughout the entire product lifecycle.
Position/ Assignment Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Testing Manager to lead our testing engineering team within the R&D Center. This role is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our wireless automotive products across the entire development life cycle from embedded firmware validation to manufacturing test readiness. Manage team resource on project allocation and team technical capability establish and improvement.
Key Accountabilities/ Statement of Work:
1- Product Software Validation:
- Oversee the execution of validation tasks based on requirements and software high-level design (HLD). Ensure test cases are properly designed, customer issues are reproduced and converted into generic test cases, and defects are clearly documented with detailed logs.
- Define and execute software validation strategies for NAD/WiFI/V2X products, including unit, integration, system, and regression testing.
- Develop test plans for over-the-air (OTA) updates, connectivity stacks (5G/LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, V2X), network protocols, and application layers.
- Design and maintain automated test frameworks (HIL, SIL) to improve test coverage and execution efficiency.
- Manage defect lifecycles, root cause analysis, and traceability between requirements, test cases, and issues.
- Ensure compliance with automotive software standards (e.g., ASPICE, ISO 26262-6 for software testing).
2- Manufacturing Testing:
- Collaborate closely system archicture, HW, SW team to ensure testing methodologies align with manufacturing test requirements. Support the transition of test tools and validation insights to the factory environment.
- Define and deploy manufacturing test solutions for PCBA and final assembly, covering software verification, firmware programming, dynamitc burn-in testing(DBI), calibration, functional testing (BFT), and RF parametric tests(RFT) and SKU configuration testing.
- Work with contract manufacturers (CMs) and NPI/production teams to set up test stations and NPI build on line support.· Drive key metrics: test coverage, first-pass yield (FPY), false failure rate, and test cycle time.
- Analyze manufacturing test data to identify software-related failures and drive continuous improvement in both design and production..
3- Team & Process Leadership:
- Build, mentor, and lead a team of software validation engineers and manufacturing test engineers.
- Establish a unified test data platform and KPI reporting for both software validation and production testing.
- Champion DFT (Design for Test) and DFS (Design for Software Testability) reviews with cross-functional teams (HW, SW, Systems).
- Define and optimize test processes in line with IATF 16949, APQP, and VDA 6.3 requirements.
- Quality Reporting: Establish and monitor key quality metrics. Generate detailed test reports and validation summaries for management, providing clear visibility into product quality and release readiness
- Conduct performance reviews and identify skill development opportunities.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunication, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in software testing, validation, or manufacturing test engineering within the wireless or telecommunication industry. At least 2-3 years of experience in a team lead or management role.
- Proven experience in both software validation (embedded software) and manufacturing testing.
- Strong knowledge of embedded software testing methods (black-box, white-box, integration, regression, stress testing).
- Hands-on experience with product software system testing and automation frameworks.
- Experience testing wireless technologies (4G/5G, C-V2X, Wi-Fi, GNSS) is a strong plus.
- Knowledge of production test processes: boundary scan, flash programming, FCT, RF testing, and aging/thermal tests.
- Experience with test executive platforms (NI TestStand, LabVIEW) and data analytics tools.
- Creative, quick learner with a strong sense of responsibility. Enthusiastic, self-initiated, and customer-oriented. Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral in English.
