We are expanding our foreclosure team and looking for a detail-oriented Title Examiner. This is a great fit for a title professional who thrives on investigative research, resolving complex title issues, and working alongside attorneys to drive successful outcomes.

What You'll Do

As a Title Examiner, you will be essential to our residential mortgage foreclosure practice. You will review title reports, research public records, and resolve title defects to prepare properties for foreclosure and sale.

• Title Analysis & Examination: Review title commitments, reports, and public records; establish accurate chains of title; and spot liens, judgments, easements, and priority issues.
• Curative & Resolution: Work with lenders, title companies, and outside parties to clear title hurdles by securing lien releases, satisfactions, and corrective instruments.
• Public Records Research: Dig into county recording systems and online databases to interpret deeds, mortgages, tax files, and encumbrances.
• Foreclosure Team Support: Partner with attorneys and paralegals to provide clear title breakdowns, monitor files, and prep FHA/VA title packages when needed.
• Quality Control: Keep case management records meticulous, accurate, and fully compliant with firm and legal standards.

What We're Looking For

• 2 to 5 years of experience in title examination, title curative, or real estate law.
• Solid grasp of title principles, lien priority, and common defects.
• Proven ability to interpret title commitments and public records.
• Strong investigative skills with experience navigating county recording databases.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a law firm, title company, or mortgage servicing environment.
• A bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business, Legal Studies, or a related field.
• Familiarity with the mortgage foreclosure lifecycle and FHA/VA title requirements.
• Hands-on experience fixing chain-of-title gaps and clearing stubborn liens.
