Vessel Crew Assistant - SISD Job Posting

The Vessel Crew Assistant supports the safe and efficient operation of a passenger and vehicle ferry. This is an entry-level position designed for someone who enjoys hands-on work, being outdoors, working as part of a team, and learning new skills.

Typical duties may include:

• Assisting passengers while boarding and exiting the vessel
• Helping crew members load and unload vehicles and freight
• Assisting with line handling under supervision
• Keeping passenger and work areas clean and organized
• Performing basic cleaning and maintenance tasks
• Participating in safety drills and training
• Learning basic vessel safety procedures
• Helping passengers during the voyage
• Communicating with other crew members
• Completing other duties as assigned

Qualifications: Applicants should be dependable, safety-conscious, willing to learn, able to follow instructions, and comfortable working as part of a team. Applicants must be comfortable working outdoors and around water. No previous maritime experience is required.

Schedule: Part-time, approximately 10–20 hours per week, including some weekends and early mornings.

Starting Pay: $20.00 per hour.
