About the role
As a Workshop Controller, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our fleet maintenance operations run safely, efficiently, and at the highest quality standard. Reporting to the National Maintenance Manager, you’ll coordinate workshop activities, manage throughput, and ensure resources are allocated effectively to maximise vehicle uptime and customer satisfaction.

What you'll be doing

Coordinating job flow to achieve timely turnaround and first‑time quality repairs

Enforcing standard operating procedures and maintaining high housekeeping standards

Ensuring safety compliance through risk assessments, hazard identification, and lockout/tagout procedures

Monitoring KPIs including turnaround times, quality outcomes, and maintenance efficiency

Controlling maintenance costs through planned maintenance, standard job plans, and OEM/warranty support

Managing supplier interactions, including parts ordering, lead‑time coordination, and performance monitoring

Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and demand planning activities

Driving continuous improvement through process mapping, root cause analysis, and SOP development
What you’ll bring

Hands‑on technical experience in mechanical, electrical, automotive, or equipment maintenance

Proven ability to manage workshop scheduling, resource allocation, and job throughput

Experience with cost control, KPI‑driven performance management, and budgeting

Exposure to parts/inventory control, suppliers, and external vendor management

Strong understanding of safety systems, compliance, and incident investigation

Demonstrated experience implementing process improvements (Lean, TPM, or similar frameworks)
