Shifts:

• 8a-4:30p (Full-Time)

Our Wound Care Nursing Partners will:

• Instruct and document training of staff in policy and procedures pertinent to wound care.
• Update wound care policies
  
• Educate staff, volunteers, residents and families on wound care.
• Audit wounds routinely to ensure proper treatment and documentation and skin assessments have been completed
• Round bi-weekly with NP wound care nurse provider
• Provide reports for QAPI regarding wounds.
  
• Identify areas for improvement
  
• Take weekend on call clinical/staffing as assigned. Rotating schedule

We require our Wound Care Nursing Partners to:

• Have previous experience in a long-term care facility required
• Have an RN in theState of Nebraskaor acompact state with at least one year nursing experience in a LTC facility preferred
• Have specialty training in Wound Care through accredited continuing education. (Incumbents with no previous certification will have up to six (6) months from their start date to acquire the appropriate certification.)
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English is required.
• Possess a love for people-especially the elderly
