About this role
We're hiring an Analytics Engineer to support our brand and commercial teams with the reporting, dashboards, and data quality that keep CREA's marketplace business running. You'll work across our Redshift data warehouse, dbt models, and Superset dashboards, turning raw Lazada, Shopee, TikTok Shop, and Shopify data into accurate, actionable numbers. You'll own the day-to-day operational data layer — exports, dashboards, data-quality triage, and QA — while the Senior Data Engineer owns the underlying pipelines, infrastructure, and data models. AI tooling is central to how the data team works, and you'll use AI-assisted workflows to query, investigate, and deliver analysis faster.
Responsibility:
- Pull and prepare data — write SQL against our Redshift warehouse and dbt models to answer questions from the brand and commercial teams.
- Build and maintain dashboards — keep our Superset dashboards and reports accurate and current, tracking marketplace and brand performance (GMV, orders, conversion, ad spend).
- Triage data issues — investigate failing data-quality tests and reporting discrepancies, produce clear per-date and per-shop breakdowns, and escalate root causes to the engineering team.
- Run marketplace exports — operate and maintain the recurring Lazada, TikTok Shop, and Shopee data exports that feed CREA's reporting.
- QA before it ships — check data for accuracy and consistency before it reaches stakeholders.
- Work AI-natively — use Claude Code and CREA's MCP-based tools to query the warehouse, investigate issues, and speed up routine analysis.
Qualification:
- SQL proficiency — comfortable writing and debugging SQL, including joins, aggregation, and window functions, against a real data warehouse.
- Analytical curiosity — you dig into why the numbers move, not just what they say.
- Attention to detail — you care about data accuracy and catch problems before stakeholders do.
- Clear communication — you can explain a finding to a non-technical brand or commercial stakeholder.
- BI and data-viz fluency — comfortable with dashboards and BI tools such as Superset, and with spreadsheets.
- AI-assisted working — you use AI tools to learn and work faster, and want to get better at it.
- Relevant experience — 2+ years in an analytics, data, or reporting role, or a strong early-career candidate with the fundamentals to grow quickly.
- Bonus — Python dbt, dlt, or Airflow exposure; familiarity with e-commerce or marketplace metrics; experience with seller centers; basic statistics.
