Are you an experienced engineering leader looking to drive world-class testing capabilities within a global electronics manufacturing environment? GPV Lanka is looking for a Deputy Manager – Test Development to join our team at our Daluwakotuwa, Kochchikade facility!

Your Prime Function

Lead and manage the Test Development function by ensuring the successful delivery of test solutions for prototype, NPI, and mass production programs while driving operational excellence, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction. You will provide technical and people leadership to develop a high-performing team, support business growth, and establish world-class testing capabilities within the EMS environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, validation, and deployment of automated test solutions.

• Support RFQ reviews through technical feasibility assessments and test development cost inputs.

• Manage test development activities and ensure timely test readiness for pilot and pre-production builds.

• Drive FMEAs for test-related issues affecting quality, yield, and delivery.

• Establish KPIs, project plans, resource allocation, and departmental performance reporting.

• Manage departmental resources, budgets, project priorities, and equipment utilization.

• Drive continuous improvement, automation, digitalization, and Lean initiatives.

• Ensure compliance with customer, quality, EHS, and company requirements.

• Drive improvements in FPY, test coverage, productivity, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering.

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Test Development, Manufacturing Engineering, or EMS operations.

• Proven experience in manufacturing test solution development and implementation.

• Strong knowledge of electronics, diagnostics, fixtures, automation systems, and test methodologies.

• Demonstrated leadership experience managing engineering teams and projects.

• Excellent communication, analytical, stakeholder management, and project management skills.

• Experience in using PCB design tools (Altium, Circuit Studio, KICAD).

• Embedded system design and programming languages (Python, C, C++, C#).

• National Instruments LabVIEW and TestStand.
