As a Ship Repair Estimator, you will assess project scopes, prepare detailed cost estimates, and contribute to successful project deliveries. Your expertise will shape competitive proposals and ensure accurate project reflections.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for ship repair projects.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to gather project information.
- Review project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to understand project scope.
- Analyze and manage project risks for reliable estimates.
- Communicate with clients to clarify requirements and provide expert guidance.
- Maintain a database of costs for ship repair activities.
- Support bidding process with competitive proposals.
Requirements:
- Canadian citizenship or authorization to work in Canada.
- Experience in ship repair estimating or related maritime field.
- Background in marine engineering or naval architecture advantageous.
- Strong understanding of ship repair processes and materials.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- Proficiency in estimating software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
