Experienced Security Guards - Christchurch

We're looking for a flexible, reliable, and capable Security Officer to join our Christchurch Team. This role offers guaranteed hours, exposure to a variety of client sites, and the opportunity to develop into leadership and supervisory cover positions across our Canterbury operations.

About the Role

You'll provide support across multiple sites and contracts throughout Christchurch. No two weeks are exactly the same, giving you the opportunity to build experience across a range of environments while developing your leadership capability.

You'll be trained to provide cover for Team Leaders, Supervisors, and other key operational positions when required, making this an ideal role for someone looking to grow their career.

Key Responsibilities

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Providing security coverage across a variety of client sites throughout Christchurch

• Supporting operational requirements, planned leave, training cover, and unexpected absences

• Managing site access, conducting patrols, and maintaining site security standards

• Responding professionally to incidents and escalating issues appropriately

• Completing accurate incident reporting and documentation

• Delivering exceptional customer service to clients, visitors, and stakeholders

• Providing leadership support and acting in relief leadership positions when required

• Upholding Red Badge standards and contributing to a positive team culture

About You

We're looking for someone who:

• Has previous security experience

• Holds a current NZ COA (Certificate of Approval) Security Licence

• Is interested in developing towards leadership and supervisory responsibilities

• Is flexible and comfortable working across different locations, shifts, and client environments

• Demonstrates strong communication and relationship-building skills

• Is reliable, professional, and able to work independently

• Has a clean criminal conviction record

• Holds a full New Zealand driver's licence and has reliable transport

• Is legally entitled to work in New Zealand
