FORKLIFT OPERATOR

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure all rules and regulations governing the operations of the Forklift are adhered to as advised by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), (Head of Department will provide copy).
• Ensure the forklift is checked on a daily basis.
• Ensure equipment inspection forms are filled out daily and submitted weekly.
• Use forklift to move palletized goods from receiving bay to warehouse storage area, and also from the staging area to the dispatch bay.
• Use forklift to move any load that cannot be otherwise moved manually or by pallet jack.
• Ensure all activities are in keeping with established safety protocols – which does not result in or cause harm to self or others.
• Ensure that Protective Personal Equipment is worn at all times.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 5 Subjects CXC – inclusive of Mathematics (Grades I – III) or Sound Secondary Education
