GP Medical Secretary

Woodston Personnel Ltd is delighted to partner with a GP practice based in Cork City seeking a reliable and organised Medical Secretary to join their team.

This is a part-time position for 3 days per week (Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday) working from 8:00am to 6:00pm each day.

Previous experience in a medical administrative role is an advantage.

Experience with Helix software is preferred.

Key responsibilities will include

• Managing appointments

• Handling patient enquiries in person and over the phone

• Maintaining accurate patient records

• Processing prescriptions

• Supporting the clinical team with general administrative duties.

• Liaising with patients, healthcare professionals, and external services in a professional and confidential manner.

The ideal candidate will have strong organisational and communication skills, good attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy environment. A friendly and approachable manner, along with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, is essential.

Requirements

• Experience in a similar role an advantage

• Experience using the Helix IT System preferred

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Good IT skills, including experience with emails, calendars, and office software.
