Head of Freight

Role Overview: Ultimate Peaks is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Freight to lead and oversee all freight and logistics operations for our client. This strategic leadership role will drive efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service excellence across the supply chain, ensuring timely and reliable transportation of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive freight and logistics strategies aligned with the company’s overall business objectives.
• Manage end-to-end freight operations, including inbound, outbound, and cross-border shipments.
• Negotiate contracts and build strong relationships with freight forwarders, carriers, and third-party logistics providers.
• Oversee transportation planning, routing, and scheduling to optimize delivery times and costs.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and customs requirements.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team, fostering collaboration, performance improvement, and professional development.
• Monitor freight KPIs, analyze data to identify trends, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with procurement, warehouse, sales, and customer service teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in freight management, supply chain operations, or logistics leadership roles.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale freight and transportation operations.
• Strong knowledge of freight forwarding, shipping regulations, and customs clearance processes.
• Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on operational efficiency.
• Familiarity with logistics software and freight management systems is a plus.
• Fluency in Arabic and English preferred.
