About the role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic, adaptable and organised part-time Business Administrator to join our team in our Port Melbourne office. We are looking for a natural problem solver, someone with a can-do attitude who can help develop our growing business. This position offers a wide variety of work, the opportunity to develop new skills and be a part of a company that works to achieve positive environmental and social outcomes in Australia and overseas.

Principal Duties

• Design, improve, coordinate and implement business administration systems across the business.
• Assist the Business Operations and Units with human resource management and systems development, the implementation of OH&S policies, and risk management policies and procedures.
• Provide support to our general project and consulting activities.
• Support the management of IT systems, websites and internal processes.
• Provide general office management and admin support to staff and general ad hoc administration duties as required.
• Provide operational support and project administration.
• Foster a harmonious and effective company environment.

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Demonstrated business operational and office management experience.
• Experience in HR, OH&S, team development and business systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and satisfy company, project and client requirements.
• Ability to take ownership and be accountable for work produced.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience using BambooHR (Desirable).
• Experience with IT and website maintenance would be beneficial but not required.
• An interest or prior experience in the environment and sustainability industry is desirable.
• International working experience is desirable.

Part Time

The position is part time (2, 3 or 4 days per week). Salary package ranging upwards from 70k (pro rata) depending on skills and experience.

Role Relationship

You will report directly to the Business Operations Manager and Managing Director, Nigel Murphy.
