Senior Project Manager

The Senior Project Manager is accountable for the delivery of a strategic, multi-geography MENA-focused project within IN2. The post holder is accountable for key project deliverables, ensuring they are delivered are on time, budget and remain within project scope; development of communications strategies and their implementation; along with key account management.

Responsibilities:



  • Key account management, serving as the trusted partner to key client stakeholders.
  • Sets strategic direction of the project/s, ensuring alignment to client priorities whilst ensuring IN2 value is secured.
  • Leadership and management of cross-functional teams to successfully and profitably deliver allocated project/s within the contracted timescales, scope of work and budgets.
  • Allocate and approve project resources (e.g. people, equipment) as required, including management of sub-contractors.
  • Identify and manage project risks and issues via the Project RAID log.
  • Embed appropriate structures and controls to ensure project remains conflict and gender sensitive.
  • Provide regular project updates to both internal – including IN2 C-Suite - and external stakeholders.
  • Network with client(s) to identify extensions or expansion of current contract/project, actively seek new business opportunities and be prepared to support IN2’s Business Development team when requested.
  • Act as Line or Operational Manager for more junior staff members as required.
  • Be prepared to deputise for more senior Programme Department staff when requested
  • Ensure compliance with IN2 cyber and physical security protocols and policies.

Role Competencies:



  • Leadership: Expert at inspiring, motivating, and directing multidisciplinary, cross-functional teams that do not report to you directly, fostering a high-performance culture of accountability.
  • Stakeholder Management: Proven relationship builder, including managing and briefing both internal stakeholders and third-party management.
  • Commercial Acumen: Experience independently managing multi-million-pound project budgets, accurately managing forecasting, variance tracking, and capital/operational expenditure.
  • Language: Bilingual with English + 1 (Arabic / Eastern European preferred but not essential).
  • MREL: Thorough understanding of Monitoring, Research, Evaluation, and Learning (MREL) methods, tools, and techniques.
  • Self-Starter: Flexible, adaptable and able to work on own initiative.

Mandatory Role Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent with 10+ years’ experience in project delivery and / or communication campaign execution.
  • Extensive experience in geo-political and socio-economic issues, including global security and regional MENA exposure from either personal or professional experience.
  • Due to the nature of this role, applicants must be eligible to work in the UK and meet specific nationality and residency requirements
