Team Leader / Technician / Supervisor (Afternoon Shift)

Do you get on well with others, have solid machinery / process skills and enjoy solving problems on the factory floor? At Timpack, we're looking for someone who enjoys getting the best out of people as well as machines.

Leading our afternoon Processing department, this is a great opportunity for a current team leader & supervisor, or for a fitter, technician, senior operator or experienced leading hand who's ready to step into a leadership role.

What you'll be doing

This isn't a role where you'll spend your day behind a desk. You'll be out on the production floor, supporting your team and helping keep our plant operating at its best.

You'll:

• Lead and develop a team of 14-16 production staff.
• Manage staffing, workflow and daily production priorities.
• Coach and develop team members while creating a positive team culture.
• Make practical decisions to keep production running safely and efficiently.
• Work with the engineer and external parties to troubleshoot production issues and minimise downtime
• Drive continuous improvement across safety, quality and productivity.

Qualifications

About You

We're far more interested in your technical capability than years of supervision experience.

You might currently be working as a:

• Maintenance Engineer
• Mechanical Fitter
• Fitter & Turner
• Production Engineer
• Senior Machine Operator
• Leading Hand
• Manufacturing Technician

and be ready to take the next step into leadership.

You'll ideally bring:

• Hands-on manufacturing experience, with confidence working around machinery and identifying and resolving equipment issues.
• The confidence to make practical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• A practical, hands-on approach to solving day-to-day challenges.
• The ability to lead by example and build positive working relationships with your team.
• Clear communication skills and a willingness to support and develop others.
