Banking Systems Application Officer

The Banking Systems Application Officer is responsible for the internal configuration, function support and controlled enhancement of the core banking application and other bank applications, where deemed necessary.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Olympic and other Banking Application Support and help desk

• Act as the central help desk interface for the business
• Log, analyze, prioritize and track system incidents, functional defects, configuration issues and user access
• Perform root cause analysis and coordinate resolution
• Validate fixes in test environments

Business-IT-Vendor Liaison

• Translate business requirements into technical discussion with banking application vendor
• Ensure business expectations are clearly documented and understood
• Support vendor meetings, workshops, and release reviews
• Workflow and Process Documentation
• Support the business with documenting end-to-end workflows within Olympic and other banking applications, as deemed necessary
• Maintain technical process maps, system configuration documentation and data flow and control documentation

Training and User Enablement

• Develop and deliver system training for business and operations users
• Support the business with developing training material for banking applications
• Support users with understanding processes within the banking applications, as deemed necessary

Technical Understanding, Configuration and Access controls

• Deep understanding of Olympic parameterization
• Support setup and maintenance of users profiles, roles and permissions and segregation of duties control
• Support with banking application configurations, as deemed necessary, including (transaction types, accounting rules and posting schemas, fees and commission structures, transaction workflows etc.)
• Support audit and compliance reviews by providing system evidence and explanation
• Understanding the modules and their interdependencies
• Understanding of Olympic master data structure and reference tables
• Basic SQL or data querying ability

Change, testing and continuous improvements

• Participate in UAT testing and new product and service launches
• Support integration initiatives
  

Requirements/ Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or Finance, Accounting, or Business with demonstrated systems experience
• IT specific qualifications or certifications, a plus
• Up to 5-8 years of experience in core banking systems, banking applications support, financial services technology, a plus
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience with ERI Bancaire Olympic, including: configuration,/parameterizations, application support and business workflow support
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills
