Breast Surgeon-Junior consultant

The Junior Consultant – Breast Surgery will provide comprehensive assessment and management of patients with benign and malignant breast conditions. The role includes outpatient clinics, diagnostic evaluation, breast surgical procedures, perioperative care, postoperative follow-up, and participation in multidisciplinary breast cancer management.

Requirements

• Medical degree: MBBS/MBChB or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Postgraduate surgical qualification: Recognized specialty qualification in General Surgery or an appropriate recognized surgical specialty.
• Breast surgery training: Dedicated training/fellowship or substantial clinical experience in Breast Surgery / Breast Surgical Oncology is highly desirable, particularly for a role involving independent breast cancer surgery.
• Experience with breast procedures such as lumpectomy/breast-conserving surgery, mastectomy, sentinel lymph-node biopsy and axillary surgery is relevant.
• Breast MDT experience: Experience working with radiology, pathology, medical oncology, radiation oncology and, where applicable, plastic surgery teams.
