Job Summary

Leading private hospital in the UAE is looking for an experienced Consultant Neurosurgeon with strong expertise in the diagnosis and surgical management of complex neurological and neurosurgical conditions. The role offers exposure to a diverse range of elective and emergency neurosurgical cases, advanced surgical services, and multidisciplinary collaboration. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient-centered care while contributing to clinical excellence, patient safety, and the continued development of the hospital’s neurosurgical services.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with complex neurological and neurosurgical conditions.
• Perform elective and emergency neurosurgical procedures according to clinical expertise.
• Manage complex brain, spine, cerebrovascular, neurotrauma, and other neurosurgical cases.
• Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments and develop individualized surgical treatment plans.
• Provide post-operative care and monitor patients for complications and recovery.
• Manage emergency neurosurgical cases and provide timely surgical intervention.
• Work closely with neurologists, neuroradiologists, oncologists, intensivists, anesthesiologists, and other specialists.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and complex case discussions.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure high standards of patient safety and infection control.
• Participate in clinical audits, teaching, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Support the development of advanced neurosurgical services and clinical protocols.

Requirements

• Medical degree with recognized postgraduate qualification in Neurosurgery.
• UK CCT/CCST in Neurosurgery or an appropriate recognized UK surgical qualification.
• Established Consultant-level clinical experience.
• Strong experience in complex neurosurgical procedures and tertiary-care cases.
• Proven expertise in areas such as brain surgery, spine surgery, cerebrovascular surgery, neuro-oncology, or neurotrauma.
• Experience in a leading private hospital, tertiary-care center, or advanced neurosurgical setting preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, surgical skills, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
