Consultant Gastrointestinal & Endocrine Surgeon (UK CCT, American board)

Job Summary

A leading healthcare organization in Saudi Arabia is seeking an experienced Consultant Gastrointestinal & Endocrine Surgeon to provide advanced surgical care for complex gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary and endocrine surgical conditions within a tertiary-care environment.

Key Duties

• Diagnose and surgically manage complex gastrointestinal and endocrine conditions.
• Perform elective and emergency gastrointestinal and endocrine procedures.
• Manage upper GI, colorectal, hepatobiliary and endocrine surgical cases according to clinical privileges.
• Provide pre-operative assessment and post-operative management.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and complex case discussions.
• Supervise residents, fellows and junior surgical staff.
• Participate in clinical teaching, research, audits and quality improvement.
• Contribute to development of surgical protocols and service improvement.

Requirements

• Medical degree with recognized postgraduate qualification in General Surgery / Gastrointestinal Surgery / Endocrine Surgery.
• Consultant-level experience with relevant subspecialty expertise.
• UK CCT, Western Qualification, American Board, Australian Board, or South African Board.
• Minimum 3 years' post-board/fellowship consultant experience preferred; current Saudi consultant vacancies commonly specify this level of experience.
• Tertiary-care hospital experience preferred.
• Eligible for Consultant classification with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
• Valid DataFlow/primary-source verification as required.
• Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
